Trump and I share opinion that war in Ukraine must be stopped — Zelensky
During a meeting with US presidential candidate Donald Trump, President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his belief in a shared view on the need to end the war with Ukraine's victory.
Rubryka reports, referring to Ukrinform.
"I believe we have a common point of view that the war in Ukraine must be stopped, and Putin cannot win. Ukraine must win," Zelensky said.
He emphasized the importance of discussing the details of the Victory Plan with the US Republican candidate, stating, "It is very important to share the full plan, all our steps, and how we can strengthen Ukraine."
Zelensky also mentioned that he is presenting this document to both US presidential candidates to discuss how to stop Putin.
At the same time, as reported by The Washington Post, Trump called the situation in Ukraine a "shame" and said he could broker a deal between Zelensky and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin "fairly quickly," though he did not provide details on what the deal would entail.
As Rubryka reported earlier, Zelensky's meeting with Trump is set for Friday in New York.
