"The ideology behind creating our universal UGV platform, "Protector," is to execute dangerous missions safely. In developing this innovative technology for our company, we studied the military's experience on the front line and their use of unmanned ground platforms.
This robot was designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of military personnel on the battlefield," Vladyslav Belbas, general director of Ukrainian Armor LLC, said.
How does it work?
The robot can weigh up to 4,000 kg and is equipped with a 190 hp engine, which enables it to reach speeds of up to 60 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with Stanag 4569 level 1 ballistic protection and can communicate with the operator remotely for distances over 15 km. Furthermore, it is seamlessly integrated into the ICoMWare situational awareness system, making it highly versatile on the battlefield.
The UGV "Protector" serves as a multifunctional logistics platform and is capable of:
- Acting as a scout robot;
- Transporting and launching drones in hazardous zones;
- Evacuating injured individuals and delivering cargo and ammunition;
- Operating as a combat robot and equipping lethal weapons to eliminate enemy armored vehicles and personnel.
In addition, Belbas pointed out the platform's affordability and ability to quickly produce content.
