Russia spends approximately $1.3 bln in mass missile attack on Ukraine – Epravda
The massive enemy missile attack on Ukraine on August 26 cost the Russian Federation approximately $1.3 billion.
The journalists of "Epravda" made such calculations.
According to the information of the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces, at the beginning of the day of August 26, the Russian forces fired over Ukraine:
- 109 Shahed 136/131 attack drones;
- 77 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 28 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 3 Kh-22 supersonic anti-ship missiles;
- 3 Kh-47M2 Kindzhal aeroballistic missiles;
- 10 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missiles;
- 6 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles.
The Shahed-136/131 UAV's cost ranges from $49,000 to $290,000, depending on whether it is produced domestically in Russia or imported from Iran. Journalists typically use the anticipated import cost of $193,000 as a benchmark.
So, 109 Shahed attack UAVs cost the Russian Federation about 21.3 million dollars.
The price of the Kh-47M2 Kindzhal aeroballistic missile is 10 million dollars, and the total number of missiles released is 30 million dollars.
The cost of the Kh-22 missile is estimated at 1 million dollars; that is, the total amount for the released missiles is 3 million dollars.
According to Defense Express, one Kalibr missile costs $6.5 million, but the total cost of this missile was $182 million.
The cost of a single Iskander-M ballistic missile is approximately $3 million. The total expenditure on all the Iskander-M missiles released amounts to $18 million.
The official pricing for the Kh-59/Kh-69 missiles designates them as the most economical option, with each rocket priced at 500,000 dollars. In comparison, the Russian counterpart of these missiles is priced at 5 million dollars. Among the top purchasers, the Kh-101 cruise missiles command a hefty price of 1 billion dollars, with each missile costing 13 million dollars.
Thus, the total expenditures incurred by Russia for the morning assault on August 26 in Ukraine amounted to 1.26 billion dollars.
