The qualification results indicate this.
Both athletes reached the top five in the qualification round: Mahuchikh came in first, while Herashchenko finished fourth. However, the third Ukrainian representative, Yulia Levchenko, did not qualify.
The last competition in this discipline will take place on Sunday, August 4, at the Stade de France stadium. The broadcast will begin at 8:50 p.m.
It should be noted that 32 track and field athletes, including three Ukrainian women, advanced to the selection stage. To qualify, the jumpers had to clear a height of 1.83 m at the beginning.
For reference:
The Summer Olympics will be held in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11. France sees this as an opportunity to highlight their country's finest aspects to the world, including Paris' iconic landmarks and its reputation as a leader in food, fashion, and sports.
In addition, the Olympic organizers are trying to level France's reputation as a country with violent street protests and industrial conflicts.
140 athletes from Ukraine will perform at the competition in almost all types of sports, except for games – obtaining a license there was impossible.
Moreover, this marks Ukraine's second medal at the 2024 Olympic Games. Olha Kharlan, who won bronze in the individual saber fencing competition, earned the first one.
The Olympic 50 m rifle shooting competition for three positions ended in Paris, with Ukrainian Serhii Kulish winning the silver medal.
