Rebuilding Ukraine: Lviv to host international conference on Ukraine's restoration
An international conference, Ukrainian Renaissance, focused on restoring Ukraine, will occur in Lviv on July 20-21. The conference aims to unite active young people, experts from Ukraine and worldwide, politicians, economists, journalists, and business people to discuss Ukraine's future.
Rubryka reports this.
What is the problem?
Ukrainian youth aspire to take an active part in the reconstruction and revival of their country, offer new ideas, and become leaders in the most significant changes. How can young people get involved in the restoration of Ukraine right now? What can Ukrainians do now for their economy, education, and culture?
What is the solution?
To answer these questions, the public organization "Ukrainian Students for Liberty," with European Students for Liberty and the Czech Liberal Institute, organizes a two-day international conference "Ukrainian Renaissance."
According to them, the two-day forum program includes lectures, panel discussions, and discussions on economics, history, political science, and many others.
"Ukrainian Renaissance is a conference at which we will together look for ways to develop our country in the conditions of a protracted war. To do this, we will gather in one place everyone interested in this, first of all, the youth, who are the future of Ukraine, as well as experts from economics, history, political science, and other persons important for the discussion of this issue," the organizers explain.
How does it work?
The conference's participants include young people, experts, politicians, public activists, journalists, economists, and business people. Its key topics include reforms and changes that await Ukraine shortly.
"For two days, we will talk with Ukrainian and foreign experts, study Ukrainian resilience, and discuss reforms our country can implement to strengthen the economy and become a leading political player in Europe. All this is to understand our further actions in a state of war in which we are still learning to live. Participation in this conference is your contribution to the victory of Ukraine, which depends on each of us," the Ukrainian Students for Freedom organization shares.
Speakers of the conference will be:
- People's Deputy of Ukraine Marian Zablotskyi;
- director of Bendukidze Free Market Center and economist Nataliia Melnyk;
- Polish entrepreneur, economist, and public figure Mikołaj Pisarski;
- Director of the Institute of Economic Research (Romania) Christian Nesulea;
- director of Liberální Institute, the oldest libertarian think tank in the Czech Republic, Martin Panek;
- People's Deputy and Head of the Committee on Equality and Prevention of Discrimination in PACE Mariia Mezentseva;
- co-founder of the NEZKRAYU Health Center Bohdan Rudkovskii;
- former mayor of Vilnius Remigius Šimašius;
- Minister of Health (2019-2020) Zoriana Skaletska.
The conference has already become annual. Last year, it created a platform for discussing economics, political science, volunteerism, and war.
"This conference has already become annual: last year, during the two days of the event, we managed to attract 36 speakers and more than 100 participants from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Colombia, Ireland, and Brazil. Together with Ukrainian politicians, journalists, economists, and entrepreneurs, we had important lectures and panel discussions about economics, philosophy, political science, war, volunteerism, and society," the students say.
The event will take place on July 20-21 in Lviv. The exact venue will be announced later by the organizers. The conference's language is English.
