Solutions from Ukraine: Svaliava volunteers send mobile bathhouse with salt room to the front
The volunteers from Transcarpathia sent a mobile bath and laundry complex equipped with a salt room to the front to help out the defenders.
The head of the Mukachevo district state administration, Serhii Haidai, reported this on Telegram.
What is the problem?
There is a pressing demand for hygiene among the troops due to the harsh conditions they face, such as heavy rain, mud, and cold weather. After returning from combat missions, the soldiers cannot launder their clothes, resulting in skin ailments.
Personal hygiene is essential, so there is a great need for baths at the front.
What is the solution?
Thanks to volunteers from Transcarpathia, a mobile bath and laundry complex equipped with a salt room were sent to the defenders at the front.
How does it work?
"The 18th mobile bath and laundry facility has already been sent to the front from the Mukachevo region. The soldiers of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade were cared for by volunteers from Svaliava, and they created an exceptional complex," he wrote.
As noted, the public organization "Help Ukraine – Today," together with the Znesnaze21 Foundation, made a bath that up to 10 people can use simultaneously.
"The shower compartment of the complex is equipped with a changing room and three showers. Three washer-dryers, a barbershop area. One hundred liters of water can be heated with firewood, up to 500 liters with a boiler," Haidai added.
He emphasized that this time, craftsmen from Svaliava, in addition to the essential equipment, added a novelty to the mobile complex – they installed a salt room where you can relax and get better.
The complex is equipped with:
- ventilation,
- fire safety system,
- an ionizer that carries out disinfection,
- hygiene products that are provided in the kit.
A diesel generator is used to power everything.

It should be noted that in Odesa, volunteers of the "Workshop of Invincibility" NGO converted an old bus into a mobile bathhouse and handed it over to the military in the eastern direction.
