Ukrainian shelters 72 abandoned hamsters from frontline regions
Yulia Koblyk from Kropyvnytskyi, took in 72 hamsters left by their owners during the evacuation from the dangerous frontline areas.
She says about fifty animals used to live in the Kherson region.
Refugees were unable to take the animals, she volunteered to shelter the hamsters, but did not know how many there were.
Yulia noted that the rescued hamsters live in two rooms. Due to the lack of cages, the animals have to be housed two or three at a time.
"If I had to go somewhere, as people have gone abroad because of the war, I would stay, I would not leave them again.
I would be grateful for any help. We need cages and food."
