Ukraine has brought back an additional five children who were trapped in the occupied territory after the full-scale invasion by Russia. The youngest of the children is just two years old.

The head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that on Telegram.

"A family of five children, along with an 18-year-old orphan, were able to escape to Ukraine-controlled territory. The youngest child is only two years old, so all his memories are filled with the terrifying realities of living under occupation," Prokudin wrote.

According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, children and adults are currently safe. Psychologists and doctors work with them.

For reference:

On March 8, the Save Ukraine team successfully rescued and returned ten more children to the Ukraine-controlled territory. These children had been living under occupation following the full-scale invasion by Russia.

Ukraine and Canada launched the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

According to the official data of the Ukrainian authorities, since February 24, 2022, 19,546 children have been deported from Ukraine to Russia.

So far, 386 children have been returned to Ukraine.

In addition, Ukraine's representative at the UN, Serhii Kyslytsia, stated at the UN Security Council that Russia's invasion of Ukraine affected all 7.5 million Ukrainian children.

As Rubryka wrote, the authorities of Ukraine have currently recorded the stay of Ukrainian children, kidnapped by the Russian Federation, in 57 regions of Russia.

Currently, there are about 11,000 Ukrainian children in Russian "re-education camps."

It should be noted that after the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for the arrest of the Russian ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, the Russian authorities changed their tactics of deporting Ukrainian children.

Representatives of the Russian Federation began to use new definitions in official documents so that no one could accuse them of kidnapping.

The media learned how the Kremlin has developed a whole system of "re-education" of children kidnapped from Ukraine, tries to form a "Russian identity" in them, convinces them that their parents are dead, and considers them "potential terrorists."
