Ukrainian athlete Chepurnyi takes victory at World Cup gymnastics stage

For the Ukrainian, this is the second award of the season. In February, Nazar won silver at the World Cup stage in Cairo, Egypt.
Also, the 21-year-old athlete from Cherkasy is the bronze medalist of the last World Championship in this type of program, where he scored a total of 14.899 points for two jumps, second only to the 2022 world champion and Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medalist Artur Davtyan from Armenia (14.933).
The day prior, Illia Kovtun from Ukraine won the first gold award in Baku, scoring the same number of points as the Olympic champion from Tokyo in this event – Zou from China (14,900). However, Kovtun received a higher score for his performance.
It is worth mentioning that the Ukrainian Paralympic team concluded their performances at the first stage of the Grand Prix of Athletics season in Dubai with a total of 15 medals and six "gold" awards.
