Rescuers find killed newborn and woman, death toll rises to 10 in Odesa attack
On the morning of March 3, rescuers in Odesa pulled another woman holding her newborn out of the rubble of a high-rise building, the death toll to ten.
Rescuers are still working to unblock the building.
"The mother tried to hide her 8-month-old child. They were found in a tight embrace… Two more lives were taken by terrorists. Two more…. It hurts so much…", the rescuers reported.
On the night of March 2, Russian troops attacked Odesa with Iranian drones. One of them hit a 9-storey building in a residential area during maneuvers among residential neighborhoods.
Part of the entrance with 18 apartments was destroyed.
A man was rescued from the rubble during rescue operations in the high-rise.
Five people were reported dead, including a child, yet rescuers keep search operations at the site of the tragedy, as there may still be people, including children, under the rubble.
In the evening, rescuers pulled the body of a mother and a baby from the rubble. The death toll rose to seven.
Odesa mourned the victims of the Russian attack on Saturday night on March 3.
