The UK plans to invest about €280 million over the course of the year to purchase and manufacture artillery shells for Ukraine's needs.

According to the communiqué, Ukraine has recently suffered from an acute shortage of ammunition.

The UK is allocating £245 million to purchase ammunition and revitalize supply chains to provide shells for Ukraine's needs.

"Ukraine will not be able to win the war against Russia without the support of the international community – and that is why we continue to do everything possible to ensure that the Armed Forces can fight to victory. Almost a quarter of a billion pounds allocated by the UK will increase Ukraine's stocks of artillery ammunition, which are critically lacking," said defense minister Grant Shapps.

The British government announced the signing of a number of million-dollar contracts between the Defense Ministry's procurement agency and the British company Cook Defense Systems to purchase hundreds of spare parts for the repair of Ukrainian tanks and other armored vehicles.

On February 22, the United Kingdom announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, including anti-tank weapons.

The UK will also provide Ukraine with thousands of drones, including FPV drones, leading an international coalition with Latvia.

As part of the military assistance, Ukraine will receive 23 speedboats and 20 Bandvagn BvS 10 (Viking) two-link all-terrain vehicles from the UK.

The British company BAE Systems has opened an office in Ukraine to produce the L119 howitzer, which has a caliber of 105 mm according to NATO standards.
