NATO and Ukraine to establish joint training center in Poland

NATO has paved the way for a joint training center in Polish Bydgoszcz, where Ukrainian troops will train together with the alliance's military.

The announcement was made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels on Thursday after a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council.

This center will allow the Ukrainian military to share lessons learned during the events. The military will also be able to train and learn together with their NATO colleagues.

Stoltenberg emphasized that this joint center is necessary not only for Ukraine but also for the Alliance itself.

"It will allow Ukraine to share lessons learned from Russia's war. And it will create a structure for Ukrainian forces to learn and train alongside their Allied counterparts."

Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov noted that the creation of a joint training center between Ukraine and NATO will help develop new technological approaches and prepare for future threats.

The creation of such a center is one of the main achievements of the second meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of defense ministers.

The Allies emphasized the need to ensure that Ukraine receives all necessary assistance in a sustainable and timely manner and the importance of strengthening the capabilities of NATO member states' defense industries.

A number of countries also announced their readiness to conclude bilateral security agreements with Ukraine in the near future.
