On February 4, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the frontline positions in the village of Robotyne, liberated during summer counteroffensive.

Zelensky also awarded troops with Crosses of Military Merit, a presidential award recognizing servicepeople for outstanding personal bravery and courage during combat missions.

"It is an honor to be here today. To support the soldiers and award them. They have a difficult and decisive mission on their shoulders – to repel the enemy and defend Ukraine. We are proud of our soldiers, we thank everyone!"

Robotyne is a town by the main road toward Russian-occupied Tokmak to occupied Melitopol, one of the key logistic hubs for Russian forces in southern Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol front. Units have to face heavily mined areas and well-built enemy fortifications.
