Ukrainian and Czech prime ministers hold talks on strengthening unity ahead of European Council meeting
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held an online meeting with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Peter Fiala on January 30. The parties discussed cooperation between the two countries and support for Ukraine.

"We are consolidating our efforts on the eve of the meeting of the European Council. We are counting on a positive vote for the new financial support mechanism Ukraine Facility in the amount of EUR 50 billion, which is designed for four years," said Denys Shmyhal.
The head of the Ukrainian government thanked the Czech Republic for supporting Ukrainian initiatives, mainly the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
Denys Shmyhal said the meeting also discussed the possibilities of joint production of weapons and ammunition and the intensification of cooperation between Ukrainian and Czech defense enterprises.
In addition, the prime ministers agreed to hold a joint meeting of governments.
