Russia wants to destroy unity within Ukraine through hybrid subversive campaigns – intelligence
Russia wants to undermine unity within Ukraine, specifically by conducting several hybrid subversive campaigns.
This information was announced by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Rubryka reports.
According to the agency, analysts close to the Kremlin have prepared proposals for the higher military-political leadership of Russia for a "more effective" continuation of the war against Ukraine in 2024.
"One of the key problems for the terrorist regime in Moscow is cited to be the social consensus and stability in Ukraine, despite the alleged domestic political contradictions. They propose to disrupt unity within Ukraine by conducting hybrid subversive campaigns alongside the intensive combat actions," said the intelligence.
The Defense Intelligence revealed that among the key goals of these measures are:
- Discrediting the mobilization process.
- Facilitating a massive population exodus from Ukraine.
- Inspiring divisions along regional lines.
They also quoted the narratives proposed by Russian "analysts":
- "The southeast is fighting for the interests of Bandera supporters."
- "Galicia [a historical name of the western areas in Ukraine], without separatists, would have long joined the EU."
- "In Kyiv, they don't mobilize — everyone is partying and having fun."
"At the same time, so-called Kremlin 'analysts' believe that there are no political forces left within Ukraine capable of changing the country's development vector, and the number of those who were once sympathizers of the 'Russian world' has catastrophically declined," the agency added.
