Ukrainian War Criminal base contains data on nearly 250,000 Russian soldiers and proxies

Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the police have opened over 105,000 criminal proceedings over war crimes committed by Russian troops.

Over 90,000 of those are violations of the laws and customs of war. The vast majority of proceedings have been transferred to Ukraine's Security Service.

"Some large cases, such as the atrocities against civilians in Bucha and Irpin, are under investigation by the police. We have created and are constantly updating the War Criminal information database," Klymenko said.

Now, almost 250,000 criminals of the Russian army, representatives of illegal armed groups, and collaborators are currently registered.

"We are actively cooperating with foreign colleagues, sharing information through Europol and Interpol channels. Every day we do everything possible to bring Russia to justice. We want no occupier to escape justice," the Interior Minister added.

Families of Mariupol defenders have previously presented an English-language website with a list of Russian war crimes during the city's siege.
