Russian military shoots down own Su-25 plane – Ukraine's Air Force

The Air Force confirmed the information that Russia lost another Su-25 attack aircraft. The Russian anti-aircraft guns themselves shot the plane down.

The Commander of the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschhuk, reported this.

"Eternal flight, brother" – that's how they write in the Russian publications! I'm joining," Oleshchuk remarked.

He said the attack aircraft was not shot down by Ukrainian air defense.

"These are clear and coordinated actions of the Russian anti-aircraft fighters, for which we thank them from the entire Ukrainian people! One less occupier, and one step closer to our victory! Minus one Su-25 of the occupiers. There will be more," Oleshchuk wrote.

Earlier today, Russian Telegram channels reported that an attack aircraft of Ukraine's armed forces was allegedly shot down in the Mykolaiv region. However, it later turned out that the plane belonged to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

According to the General Staff, in total, during the full-scale war, the Ukrainian military destroyed 324 Russian aircraft.

For reference:

On November 17, the command of the Marine Corps of Ukraine's armed forces officially announced that the Ukrainian military managed to gain a foothold on several bridgeheads.

The Russian occupiers suffered heavy losses in human resources and equipment during the fighting. In particular, since the start of events on the left bank of the Dnipro River, Russia has lost 1,216 soldiers killed and 2,217 wounded. The occupiers also lost a lot of equipment.

In turn, ISW analysts reported that on November 29, Ukrainian troops continued ground attacks on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region and reportedly advanced.

The General Staff explained that the Ukrainian army wanted to push the Russian occupiers away from the right bank of the Dnipro River. This will reduce the shelling of civilians.

Also, Russian invaders are often blown up on their mines and suffer losses because the leadership of the Russian army classified the maps of minefields in Ukraine.
