Zelensky discusses Ukraine's EU accession and military aid during phone call with Macron
While in Argentina, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke with the French leader Emmanuel Macron.

As the Ukrainian leader said, he informed the French president about the developments at the front and thanked him for the military assistance provided by his country. In addition, during the conversation, the presidents discussed priority needs and the next French defense package.
Zelensky believes it should significantly strengthen Ukraine's firepower.
"I thanked him for the preparation for the reception of Ukrainian pilots for the second stage of the training program on F-16 aircraft," Zelensky emphasized.
The head of state said the "grain corridor" issue was also raised during the conversation. Zelensky told his French colleague about its operation, which has already transported 7.5 million tons of cargo despite Russia's efforts.
"I also emphasized the importance of opening negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU at the European Council summit. Ukraine has fulfilled all the necessary recommendations of the European Commission. The European Council's decision will significantly impact the motivation of Ukrainian society and the army," the Ukrainian leader summarized.
