National Guard captures four Russian soldiers on Zaporizhzhia front
Soldiers of the National Guard successfully captured four Russian invaders on the Zaporizhzhia front.
The Eastern operational-territorial unit of the National Guard of Ukraine reported this.
As noted, Ukrainian defenders from the military unit 3017 of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) in the Zaporizhzhia region replenished the exchange fund with four service members of the Russian Federation.
The military explains that this results from one of the enemy's attempts to restore lost positions on the Zaporizhzhia front.
The seized documents show that there are:
- three invaders – from the 136th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Federation,
- one more – from the 1430th motorized rifle regiment of the territorial troops of the Russian Federation.
In addition, two of them turned out to be contractors.
The NGU says that the prisoners spoke in cliché phrases. They all said that they came to Ukraine allegedly to protect the civilian population from the "Nazis" and to liberate "their" lands.
At the same time, they tried to convince the Ukrainian defenders that they had been serving for less than a year. During that time, they had not received proper combat training and had not fought, so the units were demoralized and had no motivation to carry out assault actions.
One of the prisoners said that he had already refused to participate in hostilities, after which he was sent to the "punishment hole," and that he returned to the front because of the fear of imprisonment.
According to the detainees, the Russians are being mobilized by threatening criminal liability for refusing to participate in the so-called "special operation" with a term of 8 to 15 years of imprisonment; in return, they are promised the prospect of quick enrichment and social guarantees.
In the Luhansk region, the Ukrainian military captured a group of ten Russian soldiers near Kreminna.
In addition, after the successful special operation "Synytsia," during which the Russian Mi-8 helicopter was flown into controlled Ukraine, the number of occupiers who wanted to surrender to Ukraine's armed forces increased by 70%.
For reference:
As reported in the military command, during the day of November 13, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck eight strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment and one strike on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system.
In addition, the losses of the Russians on the Avdiivka front have already exceeded those in Vuhledar and near Bakhmut.
In turn, Major General of Ukraine's armed forces Dmytro Marchenko said that if everything goes according to the plan of the General Staff, then the Kinburn Spit will soon be Ukrainian.
Analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also noted that the troops of the Defense Forces of Ukraine made some progress on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region.
