Ukrainian air defense downs 19 out of 31 Russian drones overnight
Russian forces targeted Ukraine with attack drones and several missiles on the night of November 11.
Air defense systems destroyed 19 Shahed drones, the press release says.
Russian troops used 31 Shahed-136/131 attack drones from three fronts, namely Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia's Kursk, and Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea, one Kh-31 guided air missile from the Black Sea, one P-800 Oniks anti-ship missile, and one S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile from Russia's Belgorod Oblast.
Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, and mobile air defense fire teams of Ukraine's Air Force.
Russian troops deployed most of the attack drones in the frontline areas of Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and other regions.
Previously, explosions rang out in the Odesa region, a long-shelled area that suffered Russian attacks since the break out of the UN-brokered grain deal. Three civilians were injured.
The ISW report says Russian forces may be diversifying the mix of missiles, guided bombs, and drones used in strikes on Ukrainian rear areas, likely in an attempt to find gaps in Ukrainian air defenses ahead of further strikes over the winter.
