Russian drone strikes police car in Kharkiv region, injuring three officers

A Russian unmanned aerial vehicle attacked a police car in the town of Dvorichna, Ukraine's eastern Kharkiv region, leaving three law enforcement officers hospitalized with concussions.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigative-operational group was en route for an assignment to detain collaborators. During their movement, the vehicle was targeted by a Russian drone, Rubryka reports.

"The officers instantly recognized the sound of the drone pursuing them. They attempted to break away but realized it was futile. Seconds before the drone dropped a grenade and an explosion occurred, they managed to leap out of the vehicle," said the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.

At present, three law enforcement officers are hospitalized with concussions.

Situation in the Kharkiv region

Over the past day, the Russian forces used aviation, artillery, and mortars to shell the cities of Izium, Chuhuiv, and Kupiansk districts.

The Russian shelling from the Grad MLRS killed a 57-year-old civilian in the town of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. The railway station building was damaged.

Russian forces targeted the city of Vovchansk, inflicting damage on houses and causing a fire at a private warehouse. Utility facilities were also ablaze.
