H&M stores to resume work in Ukraine in November

The Swedish H&M clothing chain will start reopening its stores in Ukraine by the end of November, the Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba reports.

The return of international giants such as H&M, IKEA and others is one of the goals of Ukrainian diplomacy today and one of the most anticipated decisions for Ukrainians, the MFA says.

This week, our diplomats in Stockholm received final confirmation that Ukrainian H&M stores, which were closed due to the full-scale Russian invasion, will begin to reopen in November this year.

The store network hasn't yet specified which shops will resume its operations.

In August 2023, H&M Group announced that it plans to gradually reopen most of its stores in Ukraine starting from November 2023.

Being Europe's second largest clothing retailer, the company opened its first store in Ukraine in 2018. At the beginning of the full-scale war, H&M Ukraine had eight outlets: five in Kyiv, one in Odesa, Kharkiv and Lviv.
