Russian occupation forces attacked the Avdiivka Coke Plant in the Donetsk region, known as the largest coal-fuel plant in Europe.

At about 1 p.m., two missiles hit the territory of the facility, authorities confirm to various Ukrainian media. One hit a naphthalene storage warehouse, and the remains are burning. The attack caused no casualties.

The Russian air strike on the territory of the plant hit the scrubbers of the recovery shop, which were engulfed in flames in the bombing.

Authorities posted a video of the fire at the plant, showing heavy smoke rising above it after the enemy attack.

The invaders would most likely justify the strikes with false reports that they had "hit the ammunition" that had never been on the plant's territory, the report adds.

On September 27, the Russians killed one resident of the Donetsk region in Kalynivka and wounded five other people. Over the day, the region suffered 18 Russian strikes, according to the latest police data.

The occupiers used aircraft, artillery, and tanks against the civilians. The towns of Avdiivka, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, the towns of Sharp, Kurakhivka, Kurdyumivka, and the villages of Zvanivka, Kalynivka, Lastochkino, Novoukrainka, and Stepanivka were shelled.

According to the police, 50 civilian objects, including 47 residential buildings, a gas pipeline, and a power line, were damaged.

Russian forces also dropped an FAB-250 guided aerial bomb on Toretsk and shelled the city with artillery. As a result of the shelling, four civilians were injured, and eight private houses were damaged.

Russia struck Kostyantynivka with the same bomb, injuring a civilian. At least 27 private houses, power lines, and a gas pipeline were destroyed. On the morning of September 28, the occupiers attacked the town again with a guided bomb, damaging five private houses.
