Russian UAVs and cruise missiles killed two, injured three in nighttime attack
On the night of September 18, Russia launched a massive air and missile attack on Ukraine using cruise missiles and attack drones.
The General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces announced this in the morning briefing on September 18.
As the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces noted, the enemy attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 type attack drones and Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 air-launched cruise missiles.
Shahed UAVs flew from two directions: Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation and Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea. A total of 24 attack drones flying in the direction of the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions were recorded. Defense forces destroyed 18 drones.
- Kherson region
The invaders attacked the region all night. A 72-year-old man died as a result of the hit in Kherson. Another one was injured and was treated by medics on the spot.
A private house was hit in Kyzomys. The older woman died on the spot from injuries. A 60-year-old man was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.
Olhivka was also under fire. A 63-year-old woman was injured there – she was hospitalized, the head of the Regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported.
- Khmelnytskyi region
Explosions were heard in the area; air defense was activated, according to Serhii Tiurin, the Deputy Chief of the regional military administration, which was stated by the press service of the Regional military administration. More details will be released later.

- Dnipropetrovsk region
Serhii Lysak, the head of the regional military administration, wrote that defense forces shot down two cruise missiles over the region in the morning.
- Mykolaiv Oblast
On the night of September 18, the anti-aircraft defense was operating in the region, the head of the regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim, reported. The Snihuriv community was attacked by drones of the Shahed-136/131 type.
Debris from the downed drone caused a fire in a two-story, unused building. The fire was promptly extinguished. The shock wave damaged nearby buildings. There are no casualties.

- Odesa
At night, the Russian military launched a missile and air strike against the civilian infrastructure of Odesa, the General Staff reported. No details were provided.
