Ukrainian military prepares to force Dnipro River near Kherson – ISW

Ukrainian defenders near Kherson eventually made bridgeheads to push across the Dnipro River.

The Washington think tank "Institute for the Study of War" reported this.

"Ukrainian forces intensified their actions on certain islands in the Dnipro delta near the Antonivsky bridge to consolidate positions for the future offensive on the left bank of the Kherson region," the article reads.

Experts emphasize that the Russian invaders "probably do not have the necessary number of troops to protect themselves from a major Ukrainian strike in this front sector, given the movement of several elements by the Russian command from the Kherson region to the Zaporizhzhia region."

"Russian forces cannot conduct their large-scale operation to ford the river in this region, in particular, due to a shortage of ammunition for artillery training," the report emphasizes.

For reference:

According to the General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces, about ten settlements, among them, Kherson, Olhivka of the Kherson region, and Stara Bohdanivka of the Mykolaiv region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks in the Kherson direction last day.
