Solutions to win: Ukraine opens training course on drone ammunition production for the military
Courses on the manufacture and use of ammunition for unmanned aerial vehicles have been launched in Ukraine, Rubryka reports, citing the Ministry of Strategic Industries.
What is the problem?
During Russian aggression, drones are simply necessary for conducting military operations. Unlike unmanned surveillance and reconnaissance drones, attack UAVs are used to defeat the enemy and monitor the battlefield. Such drones are usually controlled by soldiers in real time with different levels of autonomy.
What is the solution?
Courses teaching how to manufacture ammunition for drones have started in Ukraine. This is the first pilot training course. The training will be attended by representatives of the defense sector and military who will directly use the products at the front.
How does it work?
"The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, together with two leading institutions of higher education, launched the first pilot training course for manufacturers and operators of ammunition for UAVs," the statement reads.
After completing the courses, students will receive a certificate, the curriculum to study the design of modern ammunition for UAVs, skills in handling special chemical products, safety skills when handling ammunition, and practical experience in primary medical care.
The first group of 27 trainees has already started the six-week training. By the end of 2023, more than 100 employees of various institutions, departments, and enterprises will take courses on the manufacture and use of ammunition for UAVs.
Rubryka reported that the Cabinet of Ministers allocated ₴40 billion this year for investment in the Ukrainian production of drones.
Three state defense plants have also started production of FPV drones in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military has already undergone combat training on the Lynx robotic platform, transferred to the front within the Army of Drones project.
Earlier, Rubruka reported how Lviv schoolchildren learn to fly drones in the Defense of Ukraine class.
