Council of Europe to issue new stamp with mural symbolizing support for Ukrainians
The Council of Europe is issuing a new official stamp with the image of a mural created in Paris in support of Ukrainians by the French street art artist Christian Guemy, known under the pseudonym C215, Rubryka reports.
"On September 11, 2023, the Post Office of France will issue a new stamp for correspondence sent from the Council of Europe, which is illustrated by the work of the French artist C215 created for Ukraine," the Council of Europe announced.
The stamp will go on pre-sale at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on the morning of September 8. On the same day, artist C215 will hold an autograph session in Paris.
The stamp depicts a portrait of a girl in a wreath of flowers made in the yellow-blue colors of the Ukrainian flag.

This is a copy of a mural created by artist C215 on one of the buildings in the 13th arrondissement of Paris as a sign of support for the Ukrainian people and a call against the war.
As Rubryka reported, the French artist Christian Guemy, also known as C215, painted the portrait of Ukrainian poet Lesya Ukrainka in war-torn Borodianka and shared her poem "Hope" translated into French.
The artist creates graffiti, thereby supporting Ukraine after the full-scale invasion of Russian troops. Guemy's works can be seen in Kyiv and the region, Lviv, and other cities. They are also called "the French response to Banksy."
Rubryka reported that the British artist Banksy painted graffiti in Borodianka, Kyiv region. In total, he created seven murals in Ukraine. All the marks with the exact location of Banksy's works were put on a special map. So everyone who wants to can visit and see wall graffiti.
