Russia shells Kramatorsk, hitting high-rise building and road
Today, September 2, the Russian army shelled Kramatorsk. After 16:30, several series of explosions were heard in the city.
The Kramatorsk City Council reported this.
Kramatorsk was attacked as the Russians fired multiple rocket launchers at the city. The occupiers launched their assault around 4:40 p.m. today, aiming at a high–rise apartment, areas close to the cemetery, and damaging the road. Thankfully, the rocket which landed on the residential building did not detonate.
"Residents of the community are finding debris in the city, including unexploded shells. Do not approach them under any circumstances, and immediately notify the rescuers by calling 101," the message reads.
According to the correspondent of Radio Svoboda, one of the rockets hit the road. A high-rise building is located not far from the place of the hit.
The status of the victims and the extent of the destruction is unknown.
According to the head of the region, Pavlo Kyrylenko, one resident of the Donetsk region was killed, and three others were injured the previous day due to Russian shelling.
Residents are asked to stay in safe places and not ignore air alert announcements.
