Russian forces shell Kherson three times in one night, killing one civilian and injuring 12
On Monday night, August 7, the Russian occupiers attacked residential buildings in the center of Kherson three times.
Rubryka reports, citing the statement of the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, that the shelling killed one woman.
"It's a difficult night for Kherson… The Russian army continued to set fire to the homes of Kherson residents in the central part of the city," said Prokudin.
According to him, around 00:50, the Russians fired at the residential building. Eight residents were diagnosed with a situational neurotic reaction. One person with reduced mobility was hospitalized.
Two rescuers were injured while extinguishing a fire caused by a strike. They were taken to the hospital with general body overheating.
Half an hour later, the shelling continued. A 59-year-old woman was killed, and a 60-year-old man suffered a contusion from an artillery shell hitting the house.
Around 03:15, Russian troops again attacked the residential building. As a result, a 93-year-old woman was injured. She was hospitalized with a mine-explosive injury and contusion.
The head of the Office of the President, Andrii Yermak, published a photo of a fire in a nine-story building in Kherson caused by the Russian shelling.
What do we know about the shelling of Kherson?
After the de-occupation of the right bank of the Dnipro River in the southern Kherson region, the Russians have shelled the city almost daily from the other side of the river. The Russian occupiers have used heavy weapons and aviation.
On the night of August 5, Russian troops shelled Kherson with artillery. As a result of the attack, two people were injured. On August 4, the Russians hit the hospital in Kherson for the second time, where they killed a young doctor on August 1.
On August 3, the Russians shelled a church in the center of Kherson. As a result, three trolleybus passengers were injured, driving past the cathedral at the time of the impact.
