Russian forces attack Bilozerka near Kherson, injuring a civilian
The Russian army attacked Bilozerka, Ukraine's southern Kherson region.
The Kherson regional military administration reports that a 71-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized.
"The army of the Russian Federation attacked Bilozerka, a civilian woman was injured," the message reads.
The authorities informed that a 71-year-old woman was injured by Russian shelling in the yard of her home. She was hospitalized with a leg injury.
The Russian forces also hit the building of the local music school. Private houses, a gas pipeline, and power lines nearby were also damaged.
Background
Russian troops shelled the Kherson region 95 times during the past 24 hours, firing 644 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad MRLS, tanks, drones, and aircraft. One person died, and seven were injured.
As a result of the morning shelling of the residential quarters of Kherson and Antonivka with prohibited incendiary ammunition, a water pipeline, a gas pipeline, and a critical infrastructure object were damaged, and residential buildings caught fire.
In autumn, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, particularly the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
Residents of the liberated right bank in the Kherson region, under constant fire from the Russian forces, are urged to minimize their time in open spaces because most of the injuries people receive are on the streets.
