By the end of 2023, EU plans to train 30,000 servicemen of Ukraine's armed forces within the framework of the European Union Military Assistance Mission.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that on Telegram.

It should be noted that the EU Mission unites 28 states.

"In 2023, as part of the EU Military Assistance Mission for Ukraine, it is planned to train 30,000 servicepersons of Ukraine's armed forces, including soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces," the message emphasizes.

As noted, the goal of the Mission is to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian army for:

  • efficient conduct of operations;
  • protection of sovereignty and restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine;
  • protection of the civilian population.

The Ministry of Defense clarified that in 2022, at the initial stage, the EU Mission purchased the necessary military property, equipment, and ammunition for the training of Ukrainian servicemen.

In 2023, training events will occur on the territory of the European Union member states.

For reference:

It should be noted that at the end of April, 14,000 Ukrainian defenders returned from Britain after training.

Rubryka wrote that the Ukrainian military trained on CV-90 infantry fighting vehicles in Sweden and returned to the front afterward.

In addition, Ukraine's armed forces took part in the large-scale military exercises of Sweden's "Aurora-23".
