Explosion targets railway transporting looted goods in occupied Melitopol – mayor
As a result of an explosion on June 13 in Melitopol, occupied by Russian troops, a section of the railway was damaged, resulting in wagons carrying stolen iron ore derailed.
The head of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, reported that on Telegram.
"According to updated information, yesterday's explosion in Melitopol damaged a section of the railway. The track chose the best moment – the enemy train from Dniprorudny was moving along it with iron ore stolen by the occupiers," the head of the city emphasized.
Fedorov specified that five wagons derailed and were also blocked for 50 meters. He also added that through Melitopol, looted goods from front-line settlements were taken to Crimea or Novoazovsk.
It should be noted that in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, which the Russians temporarily captured, a locomotive exploded in the locomotive depot around midnight on June 12. With its help, the Russians supplied fuel for the military.
