Zelensky holds meeting with British FM in Kyiv

On Monday, June 5, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, met with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, James Cleverly, in Kyiv.

The head of state announced this on Telegram.

They discussed preparations for the NATO summit, the implementation of the peace formula, and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

"During the meeting, important topical issues were discussed: Ukraine's expectations from the Vilnius NATO summit, the promotion of the Ukrainian peace formula and the preparation of the Global Summit for its implementation, the London international conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine," Zelensky wrote.

He also expressed gratitude for Great Britain's support which it continues to provide to Ukraine.

 

At the same time, the President recalled that negotiations took place with the Prime Minister of Great Britain in recent weeks, there was a direct dialogue, and "significant agreements" were reached.

As reported, on June 1, during his visit to Moldova, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rishi Sunak, and talks with the partner countries' leaders. In particular, the issue of creating a coalition of combat aircraft was raised.

Rubryka also wrote that on May 24, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, met in the capital of Ukraine with his British colleague Ben Wallace, who was on a working visit, and discussed several important security issues, in particular, supplies of long-range weapons to Ukraine and the prospect of membership in NATO.
