Ukraine's air defense forces destroyed seven Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles and other airborne threats over Kyiv in May.
The press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration on Telegram reported this.
"In May, seven Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, 13 Iskander ballistic missiles, 65 cruise missiles: Kh-101, Kh-555, Karibr, and 169 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed exclusively over Kyiv," the report said.
These are indicative data, the report says.
"Never…no city of any country… has experienced such powerful air attacks by numerous hypersonic aeroballistic, ballistic, cruise missiles and modern military UAVs as much as Kyiv in May. Kyiv withstood. We withstood," the administration emphasized.
Russian forces have attacked Ukraine's capital Kyiv over 20 times throughout May, launching air strikes and drone attacks almost daily. Russia fired more than 560 missiles and kamikaze drones at Ukraine in May.
