Lithuania to allocate new batch of military aid to Ukraine

Lithuania announced a new batch of aid intended to support Ukraine.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas wrote about this on Twitter, European Pravda reports.

According to him, the new aid package will include, in particular, "millions of ammunition" and anti-drone equipment.

"In two weeks, after the Rammstein-format meeting, we will announce more information about the support," Anušauskas added.

For reference:

On May 25, at a Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, Anušauskas announced a package of military aid to Kyiv. It included anti-drone equipment, ammunition, dry food rations, and other aid.

Lithuania's military aid this year includes:

  • transfer of military equipment and machinery,
  • treatment and rehabilitation of military personnel,
  • contributions to international funds.

Before that, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda announced the preparation of military aid in March.

To date, Vilnius has provided military aid to Kyiv in the amount of almost 409 million euros. A significant part of it is the military training of the Ukrainian military.
