Solutions to win: new fleet of Ukrainian-made UAVs ready for battle
Eight new drone groups were formed in Ukraine and are ready for battle. Pickups, attack copters, and FPV drones have already been handed over to the military.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, reported that on Telegram.
What is the problem?
The utilization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) at the front is a critical means of resisting the Russian invaders. Indeed, UAVs serve as the eyes of the Ukrainian defenders, allowing for reconnaissance beyond enemy lines or becoming a weaponized drones to eliminate the adversary.
Yuriy Ihnat, the spokesman of the command of the Air Forces of Ukraine's armed forces, believes that on the Ukrainian-Russian front in modern conditions, drones reach a new level and make a real revolution. Therefore, it is necessary to increase their production in Ukraine.
What is the solution?
On January 27, the formation of drone strike companies was approved by the Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's armed forces, General Valeriy Zaluzhny, at the Headquarters.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and the State Special Forces established a Coordination Headquarters comprised of relevant ministries and services for the successful implementation of the "Army of Drones" project.
As the Defense Ministry added, this is necessary in order to implement several key reforms and to scale up the production of UAVs to provide them to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"We continue to remove blockers for the development of Ukrainian companies. There will be many more changes. So that Ukraine produces thousands of drones every month, which the Defense Forces need right now," Fedorov emphasized.
