"Signal of support": Zelensky meets delegation from US state of Utah
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the delegation from the American state of Utah, consisting of representatives of business and charity organizations, headed by the President of the local Senate, Stuart Adams.
"Such visits are signals of support for our state not only at the national level but also at the regional level," Zelensky said on the Telegram messaging app.
On behalf of the Ukrainian people, the president thanked them for the United States' support.
According to the head of state, "From the beginning of the full-scale war, from the very beginning of Russian aggression, our society feels and relies on your support — the support of the USA."
As the press service of the President's Office added, Zelensky stressed during the meeting that aid from the US comes not only at the level of the federal government but also at the level of individual states. He noted housing reconstruction projects, assistance to internally displaced persons, and humanitarian support.
Addressing the delegation, the head of state urged American businesses to invest in Ukraine and create new jobs actively.
"It is important for us to create new jobs. If you can help with this, do it. This is also a contribution to our victory," he emphasized.
The president added that Ukraine needs the support of private businesses to reconstruct housing, schools, and universities destroyed by the aggressor and energy infrastructure destroyed by Russian missile terror.
He also called for investing in the Ukrainian agricultural industry and the IT sector, emphasizing the mutual benefit of such cooperation.
Among other things, the President informed the representatives of Utah about the situation in Ukraine and exchanged views on the steps that the state representatives could take to help in the fight against the aggressor.
Zelensky said he would also welcome the deepening of bilateral cooperation with American business in arms production and the creation of new defense technologies.
"We are open to this. We invite you," Zelensky said.
According to the results of the meeting with representatives of the state of Utah, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine has enough opportunities to work together for the common interests of Ukrainians and Americans.
"Today, I met with representatives of Utah, one of the strongest states in America. We discussed our interaction, and this is a good example of how a specific state can help protect freedom and people," Zelensky said.
According to him, Ukraine has everything: humanitarian support, reconstruction assistance, and political cooperation "to work together for the common interests of Ukrainians and Americans."
