India to host Ukrainian festival "Future Perfect"

India hosts a Ukrainian festival dedicated to its cultural heritage for the first time.

The fest will take place on May 5-8 in New Delhi.

Ukrainian Institute, together with EUNIC India, with the support of the Representation of the European Union in India, are sponsors of the event.

The Future Perfect festival offers a view of the world through Ukrainian music, literature, cinema, photography, and art.

Residents and guests of New Delhi will hear creative voices from Ukraine and learn about their contribution to the formation of the cultural landscape of Europe and the world.

It is important for us that Ukraine's voice be heard all over the world. In South Asia, primarily in India, there are extremely many opportunities for the development of Ukrainian cultural diplomacy. We appreciate that European partners are helping us at the beginning of this journey, said the general director of Ukrainian Institute Volodymyr Sheyko.

Famous Ukrainian artists will open the festival, such as writer Haska Shiyan and curator Maria Kulikovska.

The Future Perfect program includes film screenings, panel discussions, literature readings and theater performances.
