French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Ponсins visited Uman and honored the memory of Ukrainian civilians who died in a high-rise building due to a Russian missile strike on April 28.
The French diplomat reported this on his official Twitter account. He added a photo and video commentary there.
"On April 28, at 4:07 a.m., a Russian missile hit a residential building in Uman. Twenty-three people who were sleeping at the time, including six children, died," Etienne de Poncins wrote.

"I came to express my condolences to the city's mayor, Ms. Pletkova, and all the city's residents. I also came to remind you that rocket attacks on civilian houses are a war crime. Our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, has repeatedly emphasized this, and I will remind you again," the ambassador emphasized.
It should be noted that also on that day, in Dnipro, a woman and a three-year-old child died due to Russian shelling on April 28. Also, one child was injured in Ukrainka, Kyiv Oblast, due to rocket debris falling on a house.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for strengthening global sanctions against Russia after the night attack held by the Russian Federation.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, called these enemy missile strikes another proof of the need to arm Ukraine with F-16s.
Missile strikes killing innocent Ukrainians in their sleep, including a 2-years-old child, is Russia's response to all peace initiatives. The way to peace is to kick Russia out of Ukraine. The way to peace is to arm Ukraine with F-16s and protect children from Russian terror.
