Not generated by AI: Red Cross campaign to separate facts about war from AI-created fakes
The Not generated by AI campaign was created by the Ogilvy Paris agency to highlight the real suffering of people in Ukraine and Turkey.
Rubryka informs about this.
What is the problem?
There is concern around the world that the flood of fake AI-generated images is blurring the line between fact and fake.
"Almost a year ago, artificial intelligence image generators became more democratic, and as a result, more and more realistic and shocking, but fake images appear. This phenomenon, unfortunately, undermines the impact and credibility of real photography," David Reichman, executive creative director of Ogilvy Paris, said.
What is the solution?
Therefore, the Ogilvy Paris agency created the Not generated by AI campaign to show the real suffering of people in Ukraine and Turkey.
How does it work?
After the launch of the campaign in social networks, printed publications, and external media, photos from the scene of the events will appear on the pages of French magazines.
"We increasingly have to fight fake news, which with the advent of artificial intelligence sometimes seems almost believable. This campaign, which interacts with current events, allows us to remind people that our teams on the ground are in direct contact with reality. It invites as many as possible people to observe and learn about real situations that affect the most vulnerable population groups," added Laurent Amian, director of communications and public relations at the French Red Cross.
