Portugal to provide Ukraine with five armored vehicles
According to the results of the Ramstein format meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, the Minister of National Defense of Portugal Helena Carreiras announced that her country will transfer 5 armored vehicles to Ukraine.

These are five armored rescue and medical support vehicles: three of the M113 type and two of the M577 type.

It should be noted that in March, three German Leopard 2A6 main tanks arrived in Ukraine from Portugal. Before that, the commander of the Portuguese Armed Forces, António Silva Ribeiro, reported that Portugal has 37 Leopard 2 tanks. But, according to local media, most of them are currently out of service.
On April 21, the participants of the Ramstein format meeting signed a protocol of intentions to create in Poland a maintenance and service center for Leopard 2 main battle tanks, which were previously delivered to Ukraine.
The Minister of Defense of Latvia Ināra Mūrniece announced at Ramstein meeting about the decision to transfer all the portable anti-aircraft missile systems Stinger available to the Latvian side to Kyiv.

In the face of the full–scale war in Ukraine, Portugal has provided a substantial amount of support to the country.
Portugal's total commitments amount to €0.485 billion, which is 0.229% of its GDP, ranking it at 18th place in terms of overall contributions.
Portugal has provided a considerable amount of humanitarian aid, with €0.164 billion pledged, representing 0.077% of its GDP. This places Portugal in the top four countries in terms of percentage of GDP devoted to humanitarian aid.
In addition, Portugal has given €0.250 billion in financial assistance, representing 0.118% of its GDP. This places Portugal in 11th place in terms of overall financial assistance.
Finally, Portugal has provided €0.071 billion in military assistance, representing 0.033% of its GDP. This puts Portugal in 23rd place in terms of percentage of GDP devoted to military aid.
Overall, Portugal has shown its commitment to helping Ukraine in its time of need, by providing substantial financial, humanitarian, and military assistance.
