Ukrainian foreign minister invites Kuwait to join Ukraine's reconstruction

During his working trip to Kuwait, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, invited the state to join the reconstruction of Ukraine.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports this.

It is noted that the minister met with the head of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Waleed Al-Bahar.

Thus, during the meeting, Kuleba spoke about the efforts of the Ukrainian government and partners to restore the Ukrainian infrastructure damaged due to Russia's aggression and invited the fund to participate in the reconstruction.

"Russian aggression has caused a lot of destruction. But as the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasizes, we will definitely restore everything. Some projects can be financed already. In the general perspective of post-war reconstruction, Ukraine will probably become the largest construction site in the world," the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed.

In response, Waleed Al-Bahar said that his foundation is ready to participate in the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be held at the end of June in London.

The head of the Kuwait Fund also emphasized that cooperation with Ukraine will be one of the priorities of the foundation's activities.

It should be noted that, earlier, it was announced that on April 18, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, would pay a working visit to Kuwait.

The day before, the head of the Ukrainian foreign policy department paid a working visit to Iraq for the first time in 11 years.

During the meeting with Fuad Hussein, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iraq, the Ukrainian minister discussed the "peace formula" of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The export of Ukrainian grain was also discussed.

The ministers also agreed to hold a series of consultations in the departments of Ukraine and Iraq to intensify cooperation in trade, education, and digitalization. Kuleba invited Hussein to Ukraine.
