Explosions heard near occupied Mariupol
A series of explosions rang out between the villages of Yalta and Urzuf near Mariupol, captured by the Russian army.
Petro Andriushchenko, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, reported this on Telegram.
"From the side of the coast, between Yalta and Urzuf, a series of explosions rang out," Andriushchenko wrote.
As reported, the head of the joint press center of the operational command "South," Natalia Gumeniuk, previously stated that the explosions on the territory of the temporarily captured Mariupol prove that distant enemy targets are no longer out of reach for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
For reference:
Russia's aggression caused one of the biggest humanitarian disasters in Mariupol. The city was almost 90% destroyed as a result of enemy shelling.
The invaders are turning Mariupol and the surrounding villages into a military logistics hub for the Russian army.
