Ukrainian forces repel 56 Russian attacks, fierce fighting ongoing over Bakhmut, Marinka and Avdiivka

Ukraine's defense forces have eliminated about 181,550 Russian soldiers since February 24, 2022, including 460, in the past day alone.
The enemy conducts offensive actions in three directions in eastern Ukraine, General Staff reports.
"The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions. The fiercest battles continue for Bakhmut and Marinka. During the past day, 56 enemy attacks were repelled," the statement says.
Over the past day, the enemy launched nine air strikes and 19 missile strikes, 13 of them from S-300 air defense systems, against the peaceful cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. There are dead and injured civilians. High-rise and private residential buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure, have been destroyed and damaged.
The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
Russian forces shelled border areas of the northern Chernihiv and Sumy regions, where battles unraveled in 2022. The enemy struck the eastern Kharkiv region, damaging infrastructure in over 10 towns.
The invaders attempt to siege Bakhmut. 12 towns in the Bakhmut district suffered from the shelling. Russians also conduct offensive actions in neighboring Avdiivka, shelling 5 towns.
Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous attacks in the Marinka direction.
Russian forces shelled 40 towns of the southern Zaporizhzhia and Kherson region.
The invaders continue looting in the temporarily captured territory of Ukraine. In particular, in the Nova Kakhovka district of the Kherson region, cases of oil draining from electric transformers have been recorded, which in turn leads to the blackout of individual streets of the district's settlements.
Over the past day, the Air Force has carried out five strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers.
Units of missile troops and artillery hit the command post, three areas of concentration of enemy manpower, weapons, and military equipment, as well as the enemy's electronic warfare station.
