France blocks EU's decision to fund ammunition supplies to Ukraine - Polish media
The French government blocked the European Union's unanimous decision to finance the ammunition supply to Ukraine.
PAP reported this.
According to the agency, France wants to refinance to become possible not only in the case of supplying ammunition for artillery but also missiles. However, some EU countries, in particular Poland, oppose this.
"France blocks the decision of the European Union, which requires unanimity and concerns the financing of the supply of ammunition to Ukraine," the message reads.
For reference:
Earlier, the ministers of defense and foreign affairs of the EU agreed on a plan for joint procurement of ammunition. It envisages providing Ukraine with 1 million shells over the next 12 months.
At the same time, Hungary stated that it would not participate in the EU's joint financing of the purchase of ammunition for their transfer to Ukraine.
Later, the ambassadors of the European Union, at a meeting on April 5, could not reach an agreement on the issue of the plan for the purchase of ammunition for Ukraine.
