"Ukraine's victory is crucial for Europe": Latvia's PM visits Kyiv
Prime Minister of Latvia Krišjānis Kariņš came to Ukraine on an official visit on Thursday, March 16.
The prime minister reported this on Twitter, publishing the first photo of the visit.
The Latvian politician arrived in Kyiv by train, traditionally picked up by Ukrainian representatives on the railway platform in the capital.
Kariņš said that his country and Europe, in general, will support Ukrainians in the war against the russian aggressor.
"Visiting Kyiv to reiterate Latvia's unwavering support for Ukraine as long as it takes. Ukrainian victory is crucial for a free Europe," Kariņš said.

Before he visited Kyiv, Kariņš wrote a column for the Financial Times, where he indicated that a liberated Ukraine should join NATO to avoid a new war.
We will remind you that the government of Latvia decided to hand over the cars confiscated from drivers driving under the influence of alcohol to Ukraine for free.
