Solutions to win: Luxembourg provides Ukraine with 14 armored ambulances
Fourteen armored ambulances manufactured by the British company "Venari' are on their way to Ukraine as part of humanitarian aid from Luxembourg.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium and Luxembourg announced that on Facebook.
What is the problem?
Veteran of Ukraine's army Oleh Petrenko noted that over 60,000 cars were imported to Ukraine last year for the needs of the Armed Forces. The average service life of wheeled transport in the war is 2-9 weeks.
This also applies to ambulances, especially the lack of armored ones to take the wounded out of the war zone.
What is the solution?
The community of Ukrainians in Luxembourg LUkraine asbl "Ukraine is calling" organized a humanitarian action. It was supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium and Luxembourg.
The goal of this initiative was to raise EUR10 million for the purchase of 112 ambulances and fire trucks.
How does it work?
Fourteen armored ambulances have been purchased.
Soon, vehicles will be sent to the front line, where they will carry out their main mission – saving the lives of Ukrainian defenders and civilians.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium and Luxembourg expressed gratitude to all those involved for helping Ukraine.
For reference:
It should be noted that at the end of 2022, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine received 12 ambulances from the Association of Ukrainians in Luxembourg (LUkraine).
