Ukrainian, G7 foreign ministers convene after widespread russian airstrikes escalate tensions

The heads of foreign ministries of the G7 countries and Ukraine held a meeting after the missile attack, launched by the russian federation on March 9, to discuss the needs of Ukraine.

The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, announced this on Twitter, Rubryka informs.

"Following the russian strike on Ukraine's energy grid yesterday, we held a G7+ meeting convened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi and chaired by the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The energy coalition is ready to address immediate needs, prepare for the next winter season, and invest in Ukraine's long-term energy modernization," the statement reads.

It should be noted that due to a massive russian missile attack on March 9, energy infrastructure facilities in Kyiv and several regions were damaged, and stabilization shutdowns were introduced.

As of March 10, the power supply was restored in all regions.
