A Mariupol citizen, who was forced the leave his home after russia's siege, has repaired 200 UAVs for Ukrainian defenders.

The man built a workshop to repair more fight drones, Ukrainian media ShoTam reports.

What's the problem?

Before the full-scale war, Andrii Gezha was an electronics repairman. When the russians attacked Mariupol, he quickly refocused on repairing drones because they are often a one-time combat force and a resource that must be constantly renewed. The use of drones significantly expands the capabilities of intelligence.

What's the solution?

He repaired the first drone for the Armed Forces under shellings in Mariupol, but the man had to leave his home due to the intensive bombing.

How does it work?

Andrii launched the repair of drones with his friend in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia.

"The bullet caught up, it passed from below and hit the battery, which is now gone," says the man.

Ukrainians helped him: the adults donated, and the children spared no expense in detailing the toy drones. Foreign volunteers also helped with spare parts.

"Lithuanians helped us, they sent us from Poland, from Germany. We thank these people. Thanks to this, we were successful!" Gezha says.

Then Andrii moved to central regions of Ukraine, where he and his family have been living for four months. Here he continued his business. And has already put more than 200 UAVs on the wings.

"The first times I had to waste a lot of time, because how to figure it out… You are constantly learning. Of course, now it is done very quickly. Because by the symptoms, you immediately know what needs to be done." he added.

After repair, all drones perform their functions properly in the combat zone. Although it is not always possible to restore them, up to 80% of the equipment comes to life in Andria's workshop.

The man plans to continue the case until victory itself, and not only: drones will be useful even after the war, because the country is waiting for large-scale demining.
