Sweden provides Ukraine with pontoon crossings to restore road access in liberated territories
Ukraine received six temporary crossings from Sweden to restore transport connections in the liberated territories.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Rubryka writes.
"As part of humanitarian aid, Sweden sent six boats that can be used as pontoon crossings. These are the first such special vehicles that civilian road workers received; previously, they were used only by military engineers," the message reads. It is also mentioned that when unfolded, these pontoon crossings are 8 meters long and can be used to restore transport connections in the liberated territories.
The ministry emphasized that humanitarian aid will be delivered to the de-occupied communities through these temporary crossings. The pontoon bridges will also make it possible to adjust product supplies' logistics to restore community economic activity.
